ABOUT US

Hello! I'm Zoe (the owner)
I have always loved ceramics, both making my own pieces and pottery painting. I decided to take the plunge and open my own ceramics studio and I am loving it! Ceramics is a truly magical and fascinating process, my mission was to enable anyone to enjoy pottery as a hobby - traditionally it is hard to get into as it requires a large financial investment in terms of tools and the kiln, to even make one piece!
In addition to the very popular Paint a Pot side of the business, we also offer both throwing and hand building workshops so you really can get stuck in an make something fabulous!
Below are the answers to questions we get asked a lot - if you have a question that isn't hear - don't be shy give us a call on 0161 302 1568 or email on info@ceramicsandchill.co.uk and one of the team will be happy to help you

FAQs
FAQs
Q: Do I have to book for pottery painting?
A: Yes! ...We'll always accomodate walk-ins if we have room, but we go get very busy - especially at weekends and during school holidays. We don't have online booking (yet) sorry! So give us a call on 0161 302 1568 when we are open and we will book you in!
Q: Do you do gift vouchers?
A Yes! ...We have some very nice fancy-pants vouchers - available in £10 denominations, you can buy these in store and they are eligible against any purchase made in store. (so not online-booked classes). They don't expire...as long as we are here you can redeem them. We recommend £20 - £40 but you can have whatever you like
Q: Are pieces we paint food safe?
A: Yes! ...All pieces painted in-store get dip glazed by Zoe and are fully usable pieces of pottery. We don't recommend putting your treasured artwork in a dishwasher and wouldn't recommend soaking them overnight just to get the most out of them.
Q: Is pottery painting suitable for small children?
A: Yes! ...Pottery painting is a great activity for children and adults alike! We can help you print you baby's hand or foot onto any piece as a beautiful keepsake. Around 3-5 years old children are able to paint their own piece - maybe with a little help, from 6 upwards let them get on with it - they'll love it! Great for older kids, teenagers and adults too!
Q: How much does it cost?
A Depends ...On what you paint. We have items from as little as £15-£20 - up to £35 would cover most of the 100+ pieces we have available, and we do have some larger more pricey pieces for the more ambitious!
Q: Can I make my own pieces out of clay from scratch?
A: Yes! ...We offer wheel throwing workshops (for £40 per person) and hand building workshops (starting at £25)
Q: Do you offer children's parties?
A: Yes! ...We have already made a lot of children's birthdays special with their very own painting party - please call us to discuss your requirements.
